Night 1 of AAA Tripelmania 34 rocked from Las Vegas. Night 2 should be even better from Mexico City on Sunday night (Sep. 13, 2026). The marquee attraction is Dominik Mysterio defending the AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano. The question is who are you picking. WWE AAA TRIPLEMANIA 34 NIGHT 2 PREDICTIONS
AAA Mega Championship: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. El Grande Americano
Josh Jagler: An El Grande loss is not unprecedented. Heir apparents don’t always win the big one on the biggest stages (see: Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, Mike Santana in TNA). With that being said, it’s time to get the Mega Championship off of Dom. He carries it around like an albatross and has barely defended the title more than Liv Morgan has defended hers. It’s time to pay off the rise of El Grande with a marquee win to close out TripleMania. Pick: El Grande Americano
Sean Rueter: Never would have said this even a few months ago, and it feels a little crazy to say even know, but I don’t think Dom has enough heat to merit extending his reign. A surprise retention here wouldn’t build anticipation for a rematch, it would only risk cooling off EGA. Here and in the States, Dom’s going to have to show us a more serious, menacing side before he’ll take the next step. Meanwhile, the winner of tonight’s main event is set to led this brand for at least the next few years (in pre-TKO lucha libre, he’d be starring in horror movies and on top for decades; I’m not confident enough in new ownership to predict that far into the future). Kyle Decker: I can’t imagine a world they don’t pay off El Grande’s rise to the top in AAA. I’m sure Dom will stick around in AAA, but when he loses this title, I hope he has a more focused story on Raw. Pick: El Grande Americano

AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: Flammer (c) vs. La Catalina
Josh Jagler: Because I think El Grande is winning the Mega Championship, I think AAA’s old-school booker might lean towards keeping the title on Flammer here. With a 1,000+ day reign, losing the title should really mean something. No disrespect to La Catalina, who I actually really like, but I don’t think she’s been built up enough yet to end this title reign right now. Pick: Flammer
Sean Rueter: WWE AAA signing and push of Catalina says she the luchadora they want to build around. It also makes sense to make the Women’s champ a tecnico for Worlds Collide, seeing as a rudo just won the right to challenge there. Pick: La Catalina
Kyle Decker: While I don’t pay too close attention to AAA, it does feel like La Catalina is on the rise. Big shows have numerous title changes. Pick: La Catalina
Manolo H. Pizzazz: Before Night 1, I was 100% picking Catalina. After watching Roxanne Perez win #1 contender status for Worlds Collide, I have a hunch that plans changed. I doubt WWE would let Roxanne lose clean to Catalina defending the title. If Roxanne faces Flammer, then she can be protected in defeat by La Hiedra cheating for her partner. Plus, it may end up being Hiedra who finally dethrones Flammer. Pick: Flammer
AAA Cruiserweight Championship: Fenix (c) vs. Mini Vikingo vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. Nathan Frazer
Josh Jagler: Can I just say that regardless of who scores the pinfall in this match, we are all winners? The triple threat #1 contender’s match went to a time-limit draw, and adding the incredible Rey Fenix to that mix will only make this match more unbelievable. In the end, I think Mini Vikingo might pull out the win to move whatever story he has brewing with Dorian Roldan forward. Pick: Mini Vikingo
Sean Rueter: If El Hijo can’t stay healthy, Mini might be the Vikingo who ends up the big AAA star. LEt’s say they take a step toward making that a reality by strapping him in a match where Fenix doesn’t even have to factor into the decision Pick: Mini Vikingo
Kyle Decker: While I don’t know if any of these guys can handle the pure mat based work of Jack Cartwheel, here’s a time I don’t they do a change. Fenix has been a great representation of AAA on SmackDown and I don’t think they want to go away from that. Pick: Fenix
Manolo H. Pizzazz: When it’s time for Fenix to drop the belt, it should be to a rival. This matchmaking jams together high-flyers of the highest magnitude to tear the house down. If you are prone to motion sickness, be sure to take your pills before this match. These luchadores will spin you around in circles with all the flips. Pick: Fenix
Mexican Street Fight: Psycho Clown vs. El Carnicero
Josh Jagler: No disrespect to Psycho Clown here, but El Carnicero should win this one to establish him as a top-tier threat in AAA. If El Grande wins, as I picked him to, he will need some big-time heel foes to vanquish. Pick: El Carnicero
Sean Rueter: Clowns rule, the crazier the better. But the guy Undertaker is booking like a young him is not getting pinned or submitted, and he can’t get disqualified, ergo… Pick: El Carnicero

Manolo H. Pizzazz: Someone was driving the truck that dropped the monster off in Texas for Ola de Calor. That person will lend a helping hand in the street fight. Pick: El Carnicero
AAA World Tag Team Championship: War Raiders (c) open challenge
Josh Jagler: I have absolutely no idea who answers this challenge. I’m going to go with an NXT team that seems to be spinning their wheels on Tuesday nights to answer the challenge, but not to win the match. Pick: War Raiders defeat Hank & Tank
Sean Rueter: Angle alert! The guy who lost to Erik & Ivar Friday and beat up his beloved partner joins Perros del Mal! Pick: Damian Priest and Damian 666

Josh Jagler: With none of the participants announced yet, I’m not even totally sure where to start here. If they go with a safe, known commodity to win, I think Kyle’s pick below is a great one. If they go with someone new or debuting, I am throwing a dart at something reported here on Cageside last month. Pick: El Hijo del Evander Holyfield
Sean Rueter: The fact we didn’t a lot about Omos’ win in the 2025 Copa last year tells me this is the AAA’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (aka, get a lot of people on the card for a hopefully fun cluster f**k that doesn’t really man anything). Pick: Mr. Iguana
