The Washington Commanders released their final injury report for Sunday’s game on Friday and then made several roster moves yesterday. WR Van Jefferson and S Darren Hall were elevated from the practice squad, and LB Austin Keys was signed from there. DE Deatrich Wise Jr. (quad) was also activated from the PUP list.
Six players were ruled out on Friday due to injuries. QB Marcus Mariota is out after spraining his MCL vs the Colts in London last week. WR Stefon Diggs, S Percy Butler (hamstring), S Nick
Cross (illness), DE Charles Omenihu (groin/ankle), and S Tyler Owens (hamstring) were also ruled out, making the inactives list easy this week.
The Commanders are getting several players back on offense that will help them get the win in front of the home crowd. Jayden Daniels returns after missing the last two games due to another elbow dislocation on his non-throwing arm. Sam Cosmi also missed the last two games due to a concussion, but he’ll take over at right guard next to Lucas Patrick who was named the starting center this week. Terry McLaurin (hamstring) missed last week’s game in London, but he’s back to take on the Giants. Stefon Diggs suffered his own hamstring injury last week, and won’t suit up today. Rachaad White missed last week’s game with a shoulder injury, but rejoins Bill Croskey-Merritt and Austin Ekeler in the backfield. Kaytron Allen was released this week, and claimed off waivers by the Dolphins.
WR Luke McCaffrey and OLB Javontae Jean-Baptiste are active after not playing last week, while UDFA OL Tanoa Togiai is inactive.
