It’s been a big day for the Kentucky Football program, as they’ve picked up three commitments on this Sunday. The latest commitment for the Wildcats is 3-star wide receiver Austin Coles out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He joins Malachi Brown and Drew Williams as high school recruits who picked the Cats on Sunday.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound wideout is a jump-ball threat who has real size and could make an impact on Day 1 in Lexington. He’s currently ranked 709th nationally by 247 Sports Composite. Among
his other scholarship offers are Florida, Clemson, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Florida State, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, West Virginia, Illinois, and Kansas State.
Coles, who plays high school football at St. Thomas Aquinas, becomes the second wide receiver to commit in the class of 2027. He’ll join 4-star Iveon Lewis in the receiver room for the 2027 season.
The Wildcats have been honed in on Coles dating back to the past couple of seasons, when Vince Marrow was handling the recruiting duties in Lexington. Coles attended a Wildcats camp in 2024, attended a Wildcats football game last season, and continued to be in contact with the coaching staff heading into the calendar year.
Stein and WR Coach Joe Price visited Coles at the start of the year to make sure the 3-star was still at the top of their list. UK was Coles’ only official visit.
As the commitments keep coming in for Stein and the class of 2027, the Wildcats are now up to 21 total commitments, ranking No. 11 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC, according to 247 Sports.
