Welcome back to Reacts, with our first poll of the offseason!
As addressed in the most recent Sox Populi podcast, the White Sox don’t have many valuable assets. However, they are in the catbird seat in one area: young catching.
With Edgar Quero and Kyle Teel both looking like at-worst average major league catchers, with All-Star ceilings, teams absolutely are going to make a run at a trade for one of them. The question is, will GM Chris Getz listen, or strike after forcing an overpay from a team that is in desperate need?
There arguments to be made both for and against. A cautious GM would have a sense of the volatility of the catcher position, as well as the omnipresent risk of significant injury wearing the tools of ignorance.
So, put yourself in the hot seat: Do YOU make a move with our catching bounty?
