We may see some of Kirk Cousins as the Las Vegas Raiders’ starting quarterback to begin the 2026 season.
Who really knows long long Cousins will be the starter before No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza, but there is clearly a chance we may see some Cousins this seasons.
If that is the case, it will be interesting to see how much new Las Vegas coach Klint Kubiak has Cousins drop back from under center. As a recent X post by NFL analyst Warren Sharp shows, Cousins had 230 drop backs from under center in 2021.
That was the second most by any NFL quarterback in the past five seasons, according to Sharp.
Kubiak, of course, was Cousins’ offensive coordinator with the Minnesota Vikings during that 2021 season. They were together there for three seasons.
Now, reunited in Las Vegas, if Cousins does, indeed play some, we should see plenty of him dropping back from under center for the Silver and Black.
