Raw airs tonight (Sept. 21) with a live show emanating from Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. This is the eight episode of Raw during the ten week build to Money in the Bank, which takes place on October 10.
One of WWE’s missing top stars is back to dominate Raw
The list of participants for this year’s Money in the Bank ladder matches features plenty of newer WWE stars such as Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice. The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez will look to keep that trend going tonight when she competes in a 3-way
qualifying match on Raw. The only problem is that she’s going up against one of the very best wrestlers on the WWE roster in IYO SKY.
IYO has not wrestled on Raw since early August, but she’s back tonight to face Roxanne and AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina in this high stakes 3-way bout. Other former world champions like Jade Cargill, Randy Orton, and Rey Mysterio have had some bad luck thus far when it comes to qualifying for the ladder match, so SKY might just have to be the one who shows them all how to dominate the competition and get the job done in this setting.
It’s worth noting that Roxanne is challenging for Catalina’s title next weekend at Worlds Collide, and this could work in IYO’s favor tonight if her two opponents are too focused on hurting each other.

The rest of the card
On the men’s side, tonight’s Money in the Bank qualifier is Solo Sikoa vs. Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio. There are no disqualifications in a 3-way match, so don’t be surprised if 946 shows up to attack Solo, or if the rest of Dirty Dom’s Judgment Day stablemates interfere and try to help him win.
Bayley returned to Raw a couple weeks ago to get her hands on Lyra Valkyria, and they’ll do battle in a singles match tonight. It sounds like Bayley wants to end Lyra’s career, so perhaps we’ll see which lines she’s willing to cross to make that happen.
Penta will speak on Raw tonight after he came so close to beating World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns last week in Mexico City. A lot of people think Penta got a big rub during last week’s defeat, so it will be interesting to see is WWE positions him any differently on the card going forward.
With Penta’s title shot out of the way, LA Knight is next up to challenge Reigns for the gold at Money in the Bank. The megastar has something to say about it tonight. Can LA keep things focused on just himself and Reigns, or is it inevitable that The Bloodline’s War with Royce Keys and Solo Sikoa will ruin his title match?
Other stuff to keep an eye on
– Oba Femi needed a week off after the vicious beating he received at the hands Bronson Reed and World Tag Team Champion Bron Breakker a couple weeks ago. Will The Ruler return to Raw tonight to throw that jabroni Austin Theory through a table and warn the rest of The Vision about the extreme pain that’s coming their way? Does Paul Heyman still have a mystery person calling him on the phone?
– Jacob Fatu is concerned that 946 will try to isolate members of The Bloodline and take them out one at a time. If that’s really Royce Keys’ strategy, is his crew coming for Jimmy Uso’s head first?
– Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan each want the first title match against new Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. Will GM Adam Pearce settle this conflict by booking a 3-way title match, or will Becky and Liv each get separate championship matches against La Primera?
– Je’Von Evans pinned Big Cass last week to qualify for Money in the Bank. Will this loss make Cass double down on his efforts to attack Evans with Big Boots going forward, or is he finally ready to target some other babyface on Raw? Could it already be time to call Enzo Amore to see how he’s doin’?
– How will Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez respond after she was pinned by the debuting Lola Vice last week? Does the Judgment Day plan to make Lola pay for that humiliation tonight?
– Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable is great at beating all the babyface luchadors in WWE. If the well has finally run dry in that regard, is Ethan Page ready to make his move to secure a future title match?
– Where the f*** is Seth Rollins? Unlike IYO SKY, he’s a missing top star whose return to Raw has yet to be announced. Will he be back in time to compete in the final Money in the Bank qualifying match?
