The season is underway shortly and, with it about to kick into gear, surveys going forward will mostly be game related. I made it simple for week one – who’s gonna win and by what margins and totals? And secondly, who gonna be the Huskers’ Duke’s Mayo Schick Smart Car Starburst Player of the Week?
I just wanted the award to sound like a December 20th-28th bowl game.
Here’s your results:
- Husker Nation is not screwing around or hedging bets – 69% of you say the Huskers are covering and this game is going over. 35-21? No problem – in Holgo we trust. An additional 16% think the ‘Skers still cover in a lower scoring game.
- Only 15% see Cincy covering at all, 10% in a high-scoring affair and 5% in a 13-10 at the gun affair with which we are ALL too familiar. That’s not happening.
- As far as our Herbie Husker Slim Jim Player of the Game, confidence in Dylan Raiola is clearly high as he runs away with 41% of the vote. Is Dana Holgorsen the cheat code which unlocks a sophomore campaign for the ages?
- Jacory, Emmett and the field (anyone else not listed here) go 17%-16%-13%. Either Jacory or Emmett have a better than voted chance to spring a big game.
