San Antonio has promoted Hao Meng, Niraj Mulji and Dave Telep to assistant general manager roles. Xavi Schelling has been elevated to vice president of performance & wellness, while Adam Glessner (player personnel), Samson Kayode (scouting), Josh Fink (data science), Nick Repole (research & design) and Phil Cullen (basketball organizational development) have each been promoted to associate vice president.
Meng joined the Spurs in the 2021-2022 season after seven years in the NBA
league offices. He previously served as the Spurs ’s senior director of strategic analysis and basketball insight from 2022-25.
Mulji joined the Spurs in 2014 as a quality assurance assistant. He was later promoted to basketball operations manager. In 2019 he transitioned to director of basketball strategy. He most recently served as senior director of basketball strategy since 2022.
Telep most recently served as vice president of basketball operations, following a three-year stint as director of player personnel from 2019-22 and director of scouting from 2016-19. He originally joined the organization in 2013 as the team’s scouting coordinator.
The team has overhauled much of the personnel after making player moves designed to enhance the team’s chances of a title run during the Wembanyama era.
