What is the story about?

The Tennessee Titans have announced their captains for the 2026 season.

So, just one captain on each unit for the Titans this season. I haven’t done a lot of research around the league, but that seems pretty rare. Maybe the NFL only had time to make three C’s to go with the new uniforms.

Cam Ward is the offensive captain. No surprise there. You can question plenty of things about Ward, but not his

leadership. Since the Titans drafted him, he has said and done everything you would want your quarterback to say and do. Now, he just has to play well on the field.

Jeffery Simmons is your defensive captain. Again, no surprise. He’s the heart and soul of the team.

Morgan Cox is your special teams captain. Three for three, as no surprises go. He’s been one of the best long snappers in the league for a very long time now.
