New Las Vegas Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak recently hired Mike Sullivan as quarterbacks coach. Let’s get to know Sullivan more:
Last job:
Sullivan was a senior offensive assistant with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024. He didn’t coach in 2025.
Coaching experience:
He has 22 years of NFL coaching experience, beginning in 2002. He has seven seasons of NFL quarterback coaching experience. He has four seasons experience as an NFL offensive coordinator. He also has nine seasons experience as a college coach.
Connection to Kubiak:
Sullivan was the Denver Broncos’ quarterback coach and Kubiak was an offensive assistant in 2018.
Age:
Sullivan is 59.
Playing career:
The Lompac, California native went played at Army.
Why he was hired:
Kubiak originally decided not to have a quarterbacks coach on staff because so many coaches, himself included, have experience coaching the position. But Kubiak went back to Sullivan in March and they two came together, giving Las Vegas even more experience on the staff of the first-time head coach.
