Another game, another HurriKane masterclass.
Bayern Munich’s striker-midfielder-defender extraordinaire showed up against Arsenal big time in the UEFA Champions League with a stunning assist and a goal. Kane has scored in 10 consecutive Champions League games so far and is one game shy of equalling Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 11. Yes, he’s chasing greatness.
A well-deserved Player of the Match award.
Bayern’s Mr. Consistent is,
unsurprisingly, also one of the favourites to win the Ballon d’Or next week. Today’s performance exemplified why he is so valuable to Bayern – his initiative, drive, elite ball distribution ability, finishing instincts, and DEFENSIVE capabilities (yes, he played CB for 40% of the game) make him a one-of-a-kind player… a Swiss army knife, if you could use every single tool at the same time.
Kane was also Bayern’s sole hope in the absence of Michael Olise, Luis Diaz, and Jamal Musiala. And he rose to the occasion.
Give the man his Ballon d’Or.
