Thank goodness the Paint Crew was back in Mackey Arena for the 100th consecutive sellout because the Purdue men’s basketball team needed every single one of their cheers to take down a game Iowa Hawkeyes
team on Wednesday. The Hawkeyes were shooting the lights out of the ball in the first half at a clip of 70% from deep. Should you be worried? Am I worried? You’ll have to listen to find out. The Boilermakers did a lot of good things in this game it’s just unfortunate that they all seemed to have happened in the final 10 minutes and not through 40 minutes. I think we’ve really yet to see what this team is capable of for a full 40 minutes though the game against Texas Tech might be the best example.
Sitting at 6-0 in the conference the Boilermakers now prepare to head out west for a two game swing against the California schools. This time next week we should know quite a bit more about this team. How can you not love Big Ten play?
