UFC Vegas 111 is down a fight … for now.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight fan favorite Adrian Yanez has lost his opponent, Cristian Quinonez, just four days before UFC Vegas 111 is supposed to go down this weekend (Sat., Nov. 8, 2025) inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Twitter user BestFightPicks was the first to report the news, stating that UFC is currently searching for a short-notice replacement. MMAmania.com can confirm that the promotion is indeed targeting a fill-in opponent
to keep Yanez on the card.
Yanez (17-6) has been out of action since dropping a close split decision to Daniel Marcos last Dec. at UFC Tampa, having dealt with injuries since that bout. The 31-year-old Texan started his UFC career on fire, winning his first five fights — four by knockout — and earning five straight Performance of the Night bonuses.
However, the last two years have been rocky. Yanez has lost three of his last four outings to Rob Font, Jonathan Martinez, and Marcos.
Meanwhile, Quinonez (18-5) has been sidelined for nearly 20 months and enters the final fight of his UFC contract on a two-fight skid, both losses coming by stoppage.
Expect Yanez’s new opponent to be announced soon.
