The Tennessee Volunteers will remain in the top 15 in both polls despite finding a way to lose on Saturday afternoon. Tennessee blew an eight-point lead late, then Max Gilbert misfired on a field that would have won the game. Georgia got the stop in overtime on the first drive then scored to win it directly after.
Tennessee lands at No. 15 in both the coaches and AP poll as a result.
Georgia moved to No. 5 in the
AP following the win. Ohio State, Penn State and LSU held firm in the top three while Miami jumped up to No. 4 after throttling South Florida.
Texas A&M and Oklahoma both moved up to No. 10 and No. 11, respectively. Georgia Tech entered the poll at No. 18 while Clemson — who they beat — dropped out completely.
Vanderbilt, who smashed South Carolina on Saturday night, also entered the poll at No. 20.
