In a somewhat surprising move, Bayern Munich is about to sell midfielder Noël Aséko Nkili to Eintracht Frankfurt per Sport1. It was assumed that the former Hannover 96 loanee was going to compete for playing time this season in Bavaria, but he will apparently chase a more consistent role with Die Adler:
Noel Aseko is leaving FC Bayern and joining Eintracht Frankfurt . According to SPORT1 , the transfer of the midfield talent is complete.
The 20-year-old had options from England and Spain in addition
to Eintracht Frankfurt, while AS Roma in Italy were unsuccessful in their bid. Ultimately, Aseko chose Eintracht Frankfurt primarily because of the prospect of more playing time. Coach Adi Hütter is also considered a key factor in the decision of the Berlin native, who moved from Hertha Berlin’s youth academy to Bayern Munich in 2022.
For Bayern Munich, the sale could generate some nice revenue all things considered:
Eintracht Frankfurt, under sporting director Markus Krösche, is paying a transfer fee of between ten and twelve million euros.
Aséko Nkili’s deal will run through 2030 with an option for another year.
