Transfer window mania has reached its peak as the deadline day is set to complete. Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Chelsea FC’s Nicolas Jackson has heated up like never before. The player is expected to join the Bavarians on loan with an obligation to buy placed upon the German giants. Here are three hot updates in this regard.
The structure of the deal
Per a latest update by Ben Jacobs of the digital publication GiveMeSport (via @iMiaSanMia), the transfer deal between Chelsea and Bayern is learnt to be a loan with an obligation
to buy. This more or less turns the loan deal into a permanent move while giving Bayern time to arrange the finances for the full purchase in the following season.
The current stage of the move
Nicolas Jackson’s move to Bayern is very close with the Bavarians set to accept the purchase obligation clause as reported by Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports(via @iMiaSanMia). With this mutual acceptance of terms on both ends of the deal, only the player’s side remains which is also covered below.
Nicolas Jackson fully committed to Bayern
The player’s management has put out a clear statement of intent to finalise the transfer as reported by Fabrizio Romano (via @iMiaSanMia). Ali Barat, Jackson’s agent said “Nico was ready. Bayern was ready. We were all aligned on a world-class project. For the agreement to be withdrawn at the final moment is deeply frustrating. But we won’t give up I’ll fight with everything I have to make sure Nico’s next step reflects his talent, ambition, and the plan we built together. We hope that Chelsea can cover Liam Delap’s unfortunate injury.”
It is to be noted that Chelsea backed out after reportedly agreeing to let the player fly to Munich. The injury of Liam Delap was stated by the club as the reason to pull out so late. However, credit to the player and his management who refused to fly back and stay put in Munich to see the deal through.
Is this the spicy finale of a long season of transfer drama?
