The first half wraps up today! And not a moment too soon. The Athletics have dropped eight straight, which has cratered their playoff hopes. It would be nice to end the first half with a win and have some positive mojo heading into the break.
The starter today will be J.T. Ginn. He’ll be looking to cap off a strong first half that has seen him post a 3.10 ERA through his first season as a stsartin pitcher at the big league level. Was he robbed of an All-Star selection? Perhaps. He can prove that point
today with a strong outing.

As for the White Sox, they’re sending lefty Noah Schultz to the bump this afternoon. The rookie left-hander has just a 6.00 ERA through his first six starts. Hopefully the A’s can jump all over him.
