The Baltimore Ravens (5-5) have won their last four games and are playing arguably their worst opponent of the season at home. As a result, they opened as 13.5-point favorites for their Week 12 matchup against the New York Jets (2-8).
This is the biggest spread in a Ravens game this season. They have won three games by a margin of 14 points or more, two at home and one on the road, and will have a chance to do so again on Sunday. The Jets rank 25th in points scored and 27th in points allowed, but
have only lost two games by 14 points or more this year.
The Ravens are still heavily favored for good reason. New York will be starting Tyrod Taylor on Sunday, which will be the second time Baltimore faces one of their former quarterbacks this season. (They already beat then-Browns QB Joe Flacco, who could play the Ravens again on Thanksgiving.) The Jets also engaged in a fire sale at the trade deadline and sent two of their best defenders out of New York.
That should position Baltimore to notch their fifth straight win this week and potentially take the lead in the division if the Mason Rudolph-led Steelers lose to the Bears.
