Like many Bayern Munich fans, head coach Vincent Kompany was impressed by the quality of teams that the club will face in the Champions League.
“We were the first team out and the with a push of a button all teams fixtures came up. I needed a bit of time to comprehend it all. We’re playing against two English clubs and PSG — they’re all among the favorites. The two games against Belgium teams are obviously special for me,” said Kompany (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “It’s always tough in terms of context
because we don’t play against every team. We know that six wins means top eight and four wins means the playoffs. Obviously we want to finish in the top eight. The important thing is we progress. It won’t be easy, but our dream is obviously to get to the final.”
Kompany knows that the UCL is his team’s true proving ground. Will this group be ready when the competition heats up?
