With players moving in and out of the transfer portal and coaches hopping around the country, players are also announcing their declarations for the 2026 NFL Draft. Among those players is TCU senior cornerback Channing Canada, who appeared in 38 games over his three years with the Horned Frogs and started all 13 games during the 2025 season. A former four-star JUCO recruit, Canada started five games in 2024 and made his first career start against Oklahoma in 2023. Canada strung together 81 total
tackles, 65 solo stops, two tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions and five pass breakups over his three-year career with the Horned Frogs.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder from Boutte, Louisiana made a crucial interception of USC quarterback Jaiden Maiava during TCU’s 30-27 overtime win over the Trojans in the recent Alamo Bowl. Canada concluded the 2025 season with 30 total tackles and two pass breakups after posting 31 total tackles and three pass breakups during the 2024 campaign. Prior to signing with TCU, Canada played JUCO football at Trinity Valley Community College, where he ascended to being the nation’s top-ranked JUCO cornerback recruit and the third-best overall JUCO prospect. Canada totaled 21 tackles, including three for loss, with four pass breakups at Trinity Valley.
