Coming off their bye week, the Steelers haven’t played in nearly two weeks. As a result, it’s getting a bit harder to come up with relevant questions that haven’t either been asked before or feel like
desperately reaching for engagement.
So let’s keep it simple on this Thursday ahead of Pittsburgh’s Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns…
Who’s your favorite Steeler?
Extra credit if you have an answer considering all-time Steelers, but for the intent of this question, I’m asking for your favorite current Steeler. And what’s your reasoning?
It’s fair to say that, although early in the season, this iteration of the Pittsburgh Steelers has been remarkably drama-free and easy to root for, any perceived on-field critiques aside. There are plenty of strong candidates as well — classic picks like T.J. Watt or Cam Heyward, or those of the “my guy” variety such as Ben Skowronek or Darnell Washington.
While this is hardly a serious question, I’d tend to lean towards the latter. Skowronek would probably be my pick. He’s been an unsung hero for the Steelers on both offense and special teams over his time in Pittsburgh, and he was once again laying out big blocks in the run game in the Steelers’ most recent win.
That’s a Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver right there.
