Time is very much moving quickly, and now we’re on the cusp of the final week of the winter transfer window. With only a small number of days left, the chance and urgency to get deals done is likely picking
up.
That is no different for Juventus even though it doesn’t look like there will be much business done over the next few days before the winter closes on Monday, Feb. 2.
And it looks as though they are about to get a deal they’ve been focusing on the past couple of days on done and sealed as the weekend arrives.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano and confirmed by Romeo Agresti in only a way in which he can do so, Juventus are closing in on a loan deal for Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri for the rest of the 2025-26 season. One of the sticking points — understandably — has been regarding the clause to potentially make the deal a permanent one, with Agresti following up his initial post by saying that “a loan fee has been agreed with an option to buy included.” That loan fee is believed to be around €5 million, with Juventus picking up the remainder of En-Nesyri’s salary for the remainder of the season.
En-Nesyri, as you can probably guess, doesn’t want to just see this be a short-term loan before he returns to Turkey and then is potentially loaned out to begin the 2026-27 season as well. His preference is for more of long-term assurances when it comes to his future and where he will be playing beyond the end of the current season.
It has been reported that Juve’s En-Nesyri move permanent is between €20 million and €22 million.
En-Nesyri, who has just returned to Turkey following his run with Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations, had also been linked with a move to Napoli as well as Everton and Aston Villa in the Premier League. However, it has been reported that En-Nesyri was not all that interested in joining either of the English clubs that he had been linked to, with Romano saying that Everton has previously sent a bid to try and sign him this month.
Once the interest in Jean-Philippe Mateta cooled thanks to Crystal Palace’s high demands this month, Juventus’ attention turned toward En-Nesyri, who has scored seven goals in 14 appearances in the Turkish league this season. En-Nesyri is looked at as a much more affordable kind of option if the deal is to be made permanent following the completion of the 2025-26 season, with Mateta reportedly costing upward of €40 million when the obligation to buy kicked in come the summertime.
A number of reports in the Italian media have said that Juventus and Fenerbahce will try and close the deal for En-Nesyri on Saturday.
