Bayern Munich has been linked to Manchester City center-back Joško Gvardiol, but the Germans have exited the race for the Croatian. Instead, Real Madrid has entered the fray to try and pry him away from Manchester City:

FC Bayern are 100% out of the race. There is huge appreciation for the 24 y/o top centre-back, but he is considered too expensive and there is currently no need in that position, as reported.

It would be interesting to know exactly how much Manchester City would have wanted for Gvardiol, who would have been a terrific pickup for the Bavarians. The smart money is on Gvardiol extending his contract with Manchester City, but Real Madrid could be getting desperate to make an impact signing.
