Arizona football enters Territorial Cup week as the favorite.
The Wildcats have opened as a 1.5-point favorite over Arizona State, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under for the game is 50.5 points.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. MST on Friday, and the game will be televised on Fox.
This is the second straight time Arizona has been favored to win the Territorial Cup in Tempe. In 2023, the Wildcats won 59-23 as two-touchdown favorites.
Historically, Arizona being favored to win in Tempe is a bit of anomaly. It’s only happened four times over the last 13 games played at ASU (1999, 2009, 2017 and 2023). The Wildcats won in 2009 and lost in 2017 and 1999.
Overall, Arizona is 5-5 and 3-7 against the spread (ATS) in its last 10 Territorial Cup meeting where it was favored to win, dating back to the start of the century.
This season the Wildcats are one of the better teams in the Big 12 at covering the spread with a 7-4 record ATS. Arizona has covered in three of its last four games.
ASU enters the Territorial Cup with a 6-5 record ATS. The Sun Devils are 2-2 ATS in their last four games.
