Raw airs tonight (Feb. 9) with a live show from Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. This is the second episode of Raw during the four week build to Elimination Chamber, which takes place on February 28.
Another injury derails WWE’s plan for WrestleMania
Bron
Breakker reportedly had surgery for a serious hernia, which means he’ll be out of action for a while. His status for WrestleMania 42 is now in question, just like the man who was probably lined up to face him at the biggest wrestling show of the year, Seth Rollins. In fact, it sounds like nearly the entire WrestleMania card is still up in the air, with roughly two months left for WWE to change that.
It’s been rough going for Bron thus far in 2026, who began the year getting pinned by CM Punk in a world heavyweight championship match, was then suspended by GM Adam Pearce, returned from suspension to be eliminated in 11 seconds at Royal Rumble, and now having surgery on the road to WrestleMania 42.
Breakker stormed out on Raw last week after throwing furniture around and seeing LA Knight attack The Vision with a steel chair. Will WWE give an update on Bron’s status tonight, and perhaps a timeline on how long he’ll be gone? Will a new mystery masked hooded man show up tonight, while being extra muscular and barking a lot, to go after the megastar and/or Penta?
WWE might have to add a new member to The Vision to make up for Bron’s absence, or pivot towards Logan Paul as the new top star of the group. It’s worth noting that Logan was booed at the Super Bowl yesterday, because that’s what happens when you’re a YouTube douchebag. But at least he called out his brother Jake for being an even bigger douchebag for calling Bad Bunny a “fake American.” That doesn’t seem to be leading to a WrestleMania match between Logan and Bunny, but I guess you never know.
Tune into Raw tonight to see what WWE has to say about Bron Breakker’s status, and how Paul Heyman’s faction regroups now that their top dog is on the shelf on the road to WrestleMania.
The rest of the card
The Usos defend the world tag team championship tonight against the number one contenders in Raw’s pathetic tag division, Otis and Akira Tozawa. The challengers have only won one match on Raw since the start of 2025, so they are overwhelming underdogs going up against arguably the greatest tag team in WWE kayfabe history.
Maxxine Dupri is out for revenge tonight in a singles match against Nattie, who turned heel on her last month. Maxxine definitely would have beaten Natalya, but Nattie is here to decimate, not elevate. Will the low key legend use Dupri as a steeping stone as she looks to eventually earn a title match against Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch?
Finally, there will be Elimination Chamber qualifying matches tonight on Raw, but we don’t yet know who which wrestlers are in them. It sounds like WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Rhea Ripley plans to qualify for the chamber, with an eye on becoming a double champion at WrestleMania. Will she be standing across the ring from her tag team partner IYO SKY when the bell rings on a qualifier tonight? It’s less obvious which men on Raw will be trying to qualify for the Chamber given that the winner earns a shot at WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who is staying put on the blue brand.
Other stuff to keep an eye on
– Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns hates CM Punk, so they will fight over the world heavyweight championship in the main event of WrestleMania 42. It’s probably time for the part-time Tribal Chief to disappear for a while after last week’s promo segment, so now Finn Balor can get back to doing bad things to Punk. I think WWE will soon announce Punk vs. Balor for the title at Elimination Chamber, which takes place in CM’s hometown of Chicago. A video package aired last week where Balor said he didn’t know how to be a superstar in wrestling prior to his time in NXT, which is a hell of a piece of pro-WWE revisionist history that is certainly not true. What wacky thing will Finn say tonight?
– Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan has to make a decision about whether to face Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer or WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42. I assume Liv will wait at least another week to give an answer so that she can see if Cargill retains her belt this week on SmackDown against Jordynne Grace. In the meantime, is Morgan’s relationship with Raquel Rodriguez about to fall apart given everything that’s been happening between them since Morgan eliminated Raquel in the Royal Rumble?
– The Kabuki Warriors are also having major problems after Kairi Sane accidentally eliminated Asuka from the Royal Rumble. Will their drama continue tonight in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match?
– GUNTHER trolled everyone last week about killing AJ Styles’ WWE career. He then squeezed the life out of AJ’s former tag team partner, Dragon Lee. Is WWE planning to book GUNTHER vs. Lee in a singles match soon, or is this one of those cases where the Ring General is too far above Dragon in the pecking order to take the match seriously?
– The Bella Twins are reunited in WWE, and their goal is to win the WWE women’s tag team championship. I think that suggests WWE won’t dare book Brie Mode in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match, but there’s only one way to find out.
– Oba Femi is dominating WWE’s latest new era under Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s creative leadership. After he single-handedly destroyed the War Raiders last week, will two or three more wrestlers get their asses kicked by The Ruler tonight? What about the original El Grande Americano, the current El Grande Americano, or Rayo & Bravo Americano?
– Dirty Dom Mysterio is back on Raw! Is it just a matter of time until deadbeat dad Rey is once again knocking on the door for a match against his son at WrestleMania, this time with the Intercontinental title or AAA Mega Championship on the line?
– Speaking of returns, when will Pat McAfee be back in WWE to take Corey Graves’ job again?
– Where the f*** is Royce Keys?
What will you be looking for on Raw?
