The Buccaneers released their second injury report of the week Thursday as they continue preparations for Sunday’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
Tampa Bay rookie outside linebacker Rueben Bain Jr. remained sidelined with a groin injury, marking his second consecutive missed practice. Bain suffered the injury during last week’s loss to Cleveland.
There was better news for the Bucs elsewhere on defense. Josiah Trotter (shoulder) and Anthony Nelson (shin) returned to practice Thursday after both
were non-participants to begin the week. Quarterback Baker Mayfield also continued to practice despite dealing with an illness.
For Minnesota, running back Aaron Jones returned to practice in a limited capacity after sitting out Wednesday with a knee injury. Jones rushed for 105 yards on 23 carries in Minnesota’s 9-3 win over Chicago last week.
Both teams will release their final injury reports Friday, which will include game-status designations ahead of Sunday’s 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff at Raymond James Stadium.
