Most teams that have improved in free agency and have high draft picks were bad last season but not the Los Angeles Rams. Despite coming within reach of the Super Bowl, the Rams are having the fourth-best offseason so far according to the “NFL Offseason Improvement Index” at Unexpected Points.
Only the Browns, Jets, and Titans are ranked ahead of the Rams after L.A. traded for Trent McDuffie, signed Jaylen Watson, and still holds the 13th overall pick in the draft.
The Rams will certainly maintain their status as one of the frontrunners to make the next Super Bowl in their own stadium next season.

By addressing their biggest need with the McDuffie trade and the Watson signing, L.A. hopes to have complemented an offense with reigning MVP Matthew Stafford and number one receiver Puka Nacua. And because of Les Snead’s trade last year to acquire a 2026 first round pick from the Falcons, the Rams still hold a top-15 pick even after trading for McDuffie and then signing him to a $124 million contract.
Meanwhile on the other side of the coin, the Seahawks were ranked as having the second least-improved offseason. Seattle has parted ways with multiple free agents, including Kenneth Walker (Chiefs), Coby Bryant (Bears), Boye Mafe (Bengals), and Riq Woolen (Eagles).
So the Rams are expecting that the next time they face the Seahawks, whether it’s twice in the regular season, or potentially in another NFC Championship rematch, their improvements worked the best. A little more than a month out from the draft, onlookers believe they L.A. could now be the real team to beat.
