Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl was thrilled with seeing his team take down FC Köln 5-1 in the Bundesliga.
Afterward, the team celebrated Eberl was able to soak in the greatness of this season.
“It’s pure emotion. We’re absolutely delighted with an outstanding season. We scored 122 goals in 34 matches. Winning the title feels fantastic, we’ve got a great team spirit. We’ll celebrate it a bit as one big Bayern family, we’ll enjoy it. We worked for this all year. Then we’ll have enough
time to prepare for a great cup final. Leon Goretzka is a great personality at FC Bayern, he achieved fantastic things and won many titles over eight years. We’re very grateful Leon has been with us,” Eberl said (as captured by FCBayern.com).
Eberl played a major role in putting the team together and should be able to take a quick break and appreciate how it all played out. Against, the Billy Goats, the Bavarians were as dominant as ever and sent the fans home happy with yet another victory.
For Eberl, it all felt — and looked — great.
