The Chicago Bears will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night, and we have both team’s injury report for Thursday’s practices.
After conducting a walk-thru on Wednesday, the Bears held a real practice on Thursday which gives us a better window into the team’s status heading into Sunday Night Football.
Three players were listed as DNP (did not practice), with two of them being the only real concerns: LB D’Marco Jackson (ankle) and RB Kyle Monangai (thumb/toe). OL Joe Thuney was listed DNP due
to a rest day. Jackson was not listed on the injury report on Wednesday.
On the positive side, OL Theo Benedet (shoulder) and DL Grady Jarrett (groin) were both upgraded to “limited” one day after being tagged as DNP. DB Malik Muhammad (toe) was listed as “limited” for the second time this week.
Bears RB and Special Teams contributor Zavier Scott was added to injured reserve earlier on Thursday.
Monangai continues to be a question mark after missing his fourth game this past Monday night. His availability is once again in question for this weekend, and with the Bears’ bye week following up Sunday night’s game, one has to wonder if the team will hold him out yet again in order to give him a few more weeks to fully heal from his turf toe injury.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers listed the following players as DNP on Thursday: OLB Yaya Diaby (knee), WR Chris Godwin Jr. (rest), RB Bucky Irving (rest), and T Tristan Wirfs (toe). Listed as “limited” by the Bucs were DL A’Shawn Robinson (rest) and S Tykee Smith (ankle).
The Bears take on the Bucs Sunday evening at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL. The game takes place at 7:20 p.m. (Chicago time) and will be broadcast on NBC.
