Happy Wednesday everyone, and it is indeed a happy day because the Tigers have won two games in a row, Jack Flaherty had a shutout, and no matter what happens today, they have won their series against the Rays. It feels good to be watching fun baseball again! Of course, this only muddies the water of what’s to come for the team. When they were losing every series, the next steps felt obvious. As they start to do well again, it creates excitement and the idea that they could dig in and actually make
a push for one of the wild card spots. Given how bad the AL in general has been this season, it feels like anything is possible with the right run of good luck.
So, it remains to be seen what direction the Tigers will go, but one thing you can count on as Tarik Skubal inches closer to his return, is that there will be rumors and they will be plentiful. So we’ll share them with you, and leave it up to you to debate: will he stay or will he go? Or perhaps more importantly: if the Tigers have no intention of extending him, should he stay?
We’ve got that and more in today’s news, so let’s just get right into it.
