After a couple of tough games – mentally and physically – we’re heading to Brentford without too many options to change things up. Will Regis keep faith with the team that played against Spurs, or will
we look to freshen things up a little bit? Here’s how I think we’ll line up tonight.
Goalkeeper: Robin Roefs
Another good display by Roefs against Spurs, and he’ll be hoping to add yet another clean sheet to his season’s tally tonight.
Defence: Nordi Mukiele, Dan Ballard, Omar Alderete, Dennis Cirkin
Dan Ballard came off the bench against Spurs and added a lot to the defence – and I think we’ll see him return to the starting line up tonight, with Nordi moving over to right back. Omar Alderete will continue alongside Ballard, while I think Dennis Cirkin will get another run out after a hard fought hour at Spurs.
Midfield: Trai Hume, Lutsharel Geertruida, Granit Xhaka, Enzo Le Fee, Simon Adingra
I think we’ll see Trai Hume play as a right midfielder again today, dropping back to enable us to shift into a five in defence if need be. Ballard’s return will enable us to go with Geertruida in midfield too, with Enzo pushing up alongside Brian Brobbey and Simon Adingra – who’s been quietly impressive since getting back into the team – on the left.
Forward: Brian Brobbey
I thought Brobbey was excellent against Spurs – he didn’t have too many touches, but his off the ball work was impressive and signalled he’s really getting up to Premier League match fitness. Of course, his goal was fantastic too, and hopefully we’ll see him notch another tonight.
