The UConn Huskies are getting transfer recruits, and while the first wave of transfer commitments included a heavy Toledo flavor, the newest guys come to Storrs from schools like Texas, Duke, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, NC State, and Penn, with lots of potential starters in this mix.
DL Melvin Hills – Coming to UConn from Texas, where he played sparingly as a redshirt freshman last year, Hills is a big pickup for the Huskies who should slot into a starting role. He was a three-star recruit from Louisiana
in the Class of 2024.
DL Desmond Aladuge – Formerly a backup DL at Duke, Aladuge played in four games last season and seven games in 2024.
WR Cam Abshire – Comes to UConn from Oklahoma State, where he transferred from DII Emory & Henry the year before after posting a 1,000-yard season. He caught just 10 passes in a rough 2025 for OSU.
WR Ky Wilson – Comes from Youngstown State after also starting his career at the DII level at Slippery Rock.
RB Cyncir Bowers – A juco transfer into West Virginia, Bowers ran for 249 yards and two TDs for the Mountaineers last season.
RB Trey Cornist – Started his career at Tulane before transferring to Central Michigan, where he posted 470 rushing yards on 105 carries in 2025.
LB Terris Dudley – Was originally a Toledo commit before flipping to NC State out of the Class of 2025.
LB Rickey Williams – Started his career at West Virginia before transferring to Toledo, playing in all 13 games in 2025.
LB John Lista – A productive linebacker at Penn, Lista is a graduate transfer originally from New Jersey who racked up 14.5 TFL in three seasons.
OL Dominic Rivera – Started his career at Rutgers before transferring to Toledo and has yet to see the field.
OL Nathan Pahanich – A Class of 2025 prospect from The Hun School in New Jersey, Pahanich is originally from Canada and was a first-team All-New Jersey Prep selection before starting his college career at Wake Forest over other p4 offers.
