Ansu Fati is expected to complete a permanent transfer from Barcelona to Monaco shortly after a season on loan with the Ligue 1 side.
The two clubs are reportedly finalising details of the arrangement, with Barcelona keen to add a buy-back clause in the transfer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Ansu will sign a four-year contract with Monaco and Barcelona want to insert a buy-back clause that will allow them to re-sign their forward for €29 million.
The deal has been in the works for a while but has been delayed
by Barcelona’s desire to retain some kind of control over their forward with either a buy-back clause or a percentage of a future sale.
Agent Jorge Mendes has also been busy trying to find a new home for Bernardo Silva. The Portugal international had been linked with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid but is now expected to sign for Real Madrid instead.
