The Jets have rolled out white helmets which the team says will debut in the Week 2 home opener against the Green Bay Packers. The Jets will be wearing white jerseys for the game as well. It will be part of a “white out” where fans will be encouraged to wear white Jets apparel.
The team’s primary helmets are green. There is also a black helmet that the
Jets have worn with their alternate black uniforms in recent years.
The Jets didn’t announce how frequently these helmets will be worn in 2026 beyond the Green Bay game. It could be an alternate helmet that makes rare appearances when the team wears its white kits.
The Jets generally wear their green jerseys at home for most of the season. September can be an exception. Since there are still hot days the first couple of weeks of the season, the team sometimes opts to wear lighter colors.
