Happy Saturday everyone! Welcome to the week 12 edition of our weekly recurring Where We Be, What We Be Drinking column, where we have a peek at what the OTE “writers” will be doing this gameday. We are
contractually obligated to not watch the games.
MNWildcat: Hometown in the SE suburbs, but for the birthday party of a two-year-old. I believe the theme is “planes, trains, and trucks.” Thankfully, the dad–a Colorado State guy, go Rammies–is a big lush and believes (correctly) that children’s birthday parties should be stocked with beer and seltzer for partaking adults. There’ll be some old sand volleyball teammates there, too, who like to get after it no matter the time of day.
All that’s to say I’ll probably have a couple sensible Miller Lites or something, not watching a second of yet another goddamn Wrigley game. We all know how it’s going to end, anyway.
deadread: In beautiful Downtown Lincoln for the bye week. I shall recline and enjoy mocking all of your teams.
misdreavus79: I’ll be home, trying to see how Penn State will lose this game in the last second.
BRT: Honestly, no idea where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing. But I don’t think I’ll be watching football. Ahhhhh.
(Probably at home doing boring yard stuff and hanging Christmas lights while it’s nice.)
thumpasaurus: I’ll be somewhere in Oakland County MI because I think I have to go to my niece’s musical. Huh. How the hell did this happen? Well, I’m not in a position to discreetly flask this.
Brian: Los Angeles again. Regretting sitting out Michigan’s trip to Wrigley Field. Despite being half a country away, I’ll be drinking Bud heavy in honor of Harry.
BoilerUp89: Cincinnati, going to the Bearcats game with nephew #3. Drinking a coke probably.
AlmaOtter: Off to Columbus for the weekend with OhioOtter and my FiL! We’ll be taking in the sights of the vast expanse of God’s Country, then heading to historic Ohio Stadium for the OSU/UCLA game on Saturday. Beer of choice? Probably Rheingeist when I can get it, whatever shit beer the stadium has when I have to.

BuffKomodo: Cincinnati. Home bar after a stressful youth basketball game. Not because the game itself is stressful but managing 9 4/5 year old children who aren’t yours is stressful for me. Lite beer and Hoosier gameday lager the choice for me.
MNWildcat: Seems oddly specific to make a basketball team out of kids who are all 9.8 years old, but I’m happy you’re willing to do it, @BuffKomodo
RMB: Sitting on a sectional couch in my basement in metro Denver, shitposting until my fingers bleed. Iced Tea is my beverage of choice, but I might go wild and make a cup of decaf coffee.
He was a high school QB: I’ll be manning my smoker in southern Minnesota pounding Nordeast cans as one does when one is smoking meat.
HoustonBoiler: I’m taking a woodworking class, making a live-edge coffee or hall table, in Kingston, NY during the day. Fortunately (or more likely, unfortunately) the Purdue games kicks off at 6 pm GTZ. So, I will be back home and on the couch, sipping a wine that is currently TBD (what Mrs. HB wants to drink).
