What is the story about?
Good morning! An incredible outing last night from starter Emerson Hancock led the Mariners to an 8-0 win over the Cleveland Guardians to wrap up their first series of 2026. Hancock recorded nine strikeouts over six innings with no hits, joining only Felix on the day of his perfect game as the only Mariners to pitch an outing of that caliber. A three-run home run from Brendan Donovan highlighted the scoring of a great team win, and three solid innings from reliever Cooper Criswell closed out the game.
The Mariners will host the New York Yankees for a three-game series beginning tonight at 6:40 PM. What are your biggest takeaways from the Mariners’ Opening Weekend?
