Alabama is hosting Oklahoma in just a few short hours, and a win would, for all intents and purposes, lock up a playoff spot for the Tide. It’s be a big one, as the Sooners are the team that officially
put the nail in the coffin for Alabama a year ago, so the stakes to not have a repeat are high.
That’s coming up in the mid day 2:30 time slot, so you’ll have time to get lunch before things kick off.
So, let’s take a look at what to watch, why to watch it, and how to do so. The schedule is in God’s Right and Proper Central time, and comes via CFBGrid.
Must See TV
#5 Georgia vs #10 Texas
The Dogs and Longhorns are jockeying for playoff spots and positioning. This is the game of the day, outside of Alabama and Oklahoma.
Keep an Eye On:
#3 Texas A&M vs South Carolina
Sure, the Gamecocks forgot how to play offense this year, but their defense is still nasty, and Texas A&M has been playing with fire for a lot of the season. This one could get more interesting than it has any right to be.
#17 USC vs Iowa
With both teams sitting in the upper part of the Big 10, this one may wind up having some playoff ramifications.
Unwatchable Filth
#6 Ole Miss vs Florida
Usually a game that’s good for some shenanigans, the Gators are currently awful and Ole Miss is likely going to turn this into a big nothing-burger by about halftime.
Arkansas vs LSU
The Pigs will probably find a way to make that LSU offense look good. And that’s just unconscionable.
This is the open thread until the Bama kickoff at 2:30. Roll Tide, and have a great day!
