Frenkie de Jong has taken another step forward in his recovery from a knee injury as he took part in some of Tuesday’s training session with his Barcelona team-mates at the Ciutat Esportiva.
The Dutchman has been working separately as he recovers from an injury sustained at the World Cup but was with the group on Tuesday.
Barcelona are reportedly going easy on De Jong currently and are hoping he can be given the green light to return to competitive action at the end of this month.
Hansi Flick was also
able to welcome back Karim Adeyemi from international duty as well as he focuses on the return of La Liga and a game with Getafe on Saturday.
Adeyemi was released early from the Germany squad, with Jurgen Klopp using two squads for his fixtures over the international break as he runs the rule over a host of players.
The rest of the internationals will return later in the week as Barcelona aim to get back to work and continue thei perfect start to the season.
