Rodri made his first start for Barcelona on Sunday in La Liga and played his part as Hansi Flick’s side ran out 5-0 winners at Mestalla.
The World Cup winner was subbed off just after the hour and has been overheard telling Pau Cubarsi exactly what he thought of Los Che’s performance.
According to Movistar, Rodri said: “They’re really weak. They’re really weak, man. Really bad. They’re terrible, they’re terrible. How did Valencia finish last year? You know, they haven’t even crossed the halfway line
in the second half.”
Barcelona ran out comfortable winners in the game to ensure Valencia finish the weekend at the bottom of the table in Spain with a single point from their first four games.
The only time that Carlos Corberan’s side have avoided defeat in the 2026-27 season so far is in a goalless draw at home to Celta Vigo.
“I’m analyzing the match against an opponent who was superior to us from start to finish,” said Corberan after the game.
“Conceding a goal so early made everything much more difficult. We failed to capitalize on the chances we had after that goal, on quick transitions, and that would have been crucial. And the opponent found a way to crush us. After the third goal, it was difficult to turn things around.”
