Bayern Munich’s primary objective is to extend the contracts of their first team regulars. Dayot Upamecano recently extended his contract and Harry Kane is bound to follow. Yeah that’s cool, but what about the rest of the team? Max Eberl, Bayern sporting director stated that there’s no strict order on who gets their contract extended first.
“There’s no strict order,” Eberl said (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “The contracts of Manuel Neuer, Sven Ulreich, Rapha Guerreiro and Nicolas Jackson
expires in the summer. Konrad Laimer and Harry Kane have contracts until 2027. We want and need to make decisions. There are several topics we are working on.”
In addition to these upcoming contract extensions, the Bavarians are looking at external options such as Yan Diomande from fellow Bundesliga club RB Leipzig and Givairo Read from Dutch giants Feyenoord. There’s also the question of who gets to be the backup for Harry Kane.
