Standing in Atlético’s way is a resurgent Real Sociedad side playing in its second final since 2020. La Real won La Copa that season (though the final itself was delayed into 2021 due to COVID)
and will seek to punctuate its revitalization under head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo by beating Atleti to the crown at Estadio de La Cartuja.
