It’s Friday and in addition to that being the last day of the work week for most of us it also means that the survey results are ready for you while you waste away your day on Teams or on Outlook. What a world we’ve created huh? So, let’s get into it. Two questions again this week both focused on football. The first one is a more general question about the vibes of the fanbase around the program. It’s a very squishy question and I acknowledge that but it’s one that I thought would be interesting.

I’m heartened that 53% of Purdue fans are more optimistic after the USC loss because that’s how I felt. I was impressed with the way the offense moved the football. There were mistakes of course, but if they clean those up the offense has a shot at doing a very good job this year and maybe making up for the defense when they struggle. What I’m more interested in is the 4% who came away from that game less optimistic. Are you all okay? Was it the interceptions that caused it? Please, if this is you, tell us more in the comments.
Then, the big question of the week that will be decided tomorrow. Can Purdue take down the Irish (the Fighting kind, not like all of Ireland)? You’ll be able to read the staff predictions later today, but let’s see what readers think first.

80% of Purdue fans think we are staring down a loss. I think that’s fair given the history between these two teams, the fact that the game is on the road, and basically the complete overhaul of this Purdue team in the offseason. It’s a lot to ask of Purdue to go into Notre Dame Stadium and come out with a victory, but that’s why they play the game folks.
