Following our post asking for the defensive MVP for this coming season, we predictably had the following question:
Who is your early choice to take the title of Miami Dolphins Offensive MVP for the 2026-2027 NFL season, and why?
Below are some of your thoughts, answers, and predictions-
Thorny is hoping it’s the starting QB, which is generally a good sign for any offense.
Hoping Malik, hoping
Dolfanjoe says that anyone other than the obvious choice would be a good sign for the offense.
Anyone but Achane
becoming the offensive MVP would be great for this offense ! Willis becoming that would mean he is working with our supposedly weak WR crew. O line destroying other teams defensive fronts and keeping Willis upright. The running backs as a whole working together and getting the job done. What we need is people to step up and become competition for the MVP spot !
sdphinsfan just wants to see guard Jonah Savaiinaea show that he’s living up to his billing.
He won’t be named the MVP, but I’m going with Savi. If he can turn his game around, that goes a long way in helping other players reach their potential. If we can be solid on the IOL, and its looking like we have a chance, Willis will have a shot to do some special things…
USMCFinPhreak thinks it’s going to be the starting QB or RB.
It will have to be Willis. If it isn’t, then I would say Achane. If it is Achane, then I would hope he makes it through the season without a career ending injury from relying on him too much.
MiamiItaliano went with my choice for the most obvious choice.
Achane, with Malik Willis not too far behind him. I think the running combo will give defensive coordinators fits trying to contain them.
heatforlife says it has to be Willis or we are in trouble.
qb most important position if its not malik we in trouble.mmcd was a great running backs coordinator.not that great hc.be interesting following chargers i believe he was responsible for alot of achanes success with his play calls and blocking schemes.our new coach is a rookie coach based on ross past choices u know how that usually goes can this coach break the pattern we shall find out in 3 years i give him to get us in playoffs.
cyberflea says it’s Achane by process of elimination.
The Dolphins offensive MVP will be?
Let’s start with the OL, no chance.
WR – The Dolphins will spread the ball around so their will likely be no one WR with dominating numbers.
TE – I think Dulcich will have a good season however it won’t be enough and the others, no chance.
QB – This is the position where you would really like for your offensive MVP to be. However. Willis is still a big question mark. He is working with pedestrian and unproven WRs. As it is now, not one receiver would be a #1 on another team and has caught more than 60 balls in their career. I still think Willis will have a solid season however consideration for MVP is asking a bit too much.
RB – The obvious choice is Achane who is the Dolphins best player offensively and arguably on the entire team. Opposing teams know this and will make every effort in their game plans to slow him down. Plus, word is that the Dolphins want to give more carries to Wright and Ollie to keep Achane from being over worked.
The winner is – Achane is the most likely to earn offensive MVP this season barring injury.
Phoenix6 says it will be the team’s best player.
De’Von Achane
Because: many yds on the ground; many reception yds; & many touchdowns.
phinette23 expects a tight end to step up this season.
The most obvious choices are Achane or Willis, so I’m going to go wild and choose Dulich. I think he could have a breakout year. No, I am not posting this from Camp Ayahuasca.
StanleyDoyle1 thinks it could be Wright if Achane is injured.
I was going with Achane as the obvious pick, but I’m going to predict he’ll be injured at some point before week 8. He’s been super durable, but he’s due. So I’ll go with a surprise pick – Jaylen Wright – who I think is entirely underrrated and could have a big year.
PA phinphan is expecting 2,000 all-purpose yards from Achane this coming season.
For me, without a doubt, it’s Achane. 1400+ rushing and 600+ receiving plus 15+ tds that should do it.
FLexile hopes it’s the QB.
Let’s hope it’s Malik.
coach k 13 is pushing all his chips in on De’Von.
My money is on Achane!!
JKBMia, like most, believes it will be Achane or Willis.
Really hard to imagine it being anyone other than those 2 fellas pictured there.
Well, that went as expected. The consensus seems to lean towards Achane with the second most likley canidate being Willis. Let’s hope that they both go off this coming season, giving us all some hope for the future. Thank you, as always, to each of you who took the time to answer our Phinsider Question Of The Day.
