Michigan defensive lineman Enow Etta has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported late on Friday night.
The 6-foot-5, 320-pound interior defensive lineman had very high expectations when he arrived at Michigan as a high four-star recruit. Etta had 20 sacks as a senior and 76 career sacks as a high schooler over three seasons as a starter. While that production primarily came at edge, the Michigan coaching staff ended up moving him to the interior.
In 2024, Etta appeared in 10 games and made four tackles with 0.5 sacks and one pass breakup. In 2025, Etta saw similar production, appearing in 13 games and making 15 tackles, 0.5 sacks and one pass breakup.
Etta is a player that could still have high upside, but a new environment may be good for him as things did not necessarily work out the way he wanted in Ann Arbor.
Etta is the 15th Michigan player to officially enter the transfer portal this winter so far.
