The 2026 NFL Draft is deep into the fifth round and the Miami Dolphins are making another pick. The Dolphins have already selected nine players through the first 158 picks and are now adding a tenth rookie with the 177th selection. The team used the pick to select Missouri wide receiver Kevin Coleman, Jr.
Coleman is likely a depth slot player to start his career while providing punt return ability as well.
Miami’s previous selections have included tackle Kadyn Proctor and cornerback Chris Johnson in the
first round; linebacker Jacob Rodriguez in the second round wide receiver; Caleb Douglas, tight end Will Kacmarek, and wide receiver Chris Bell in the third round; edge rusher Trey Moore and linebacker Kyle Louis in the fourth round; and safety Michael Taaffe in the fifth round.
Coleman started his college career at Jackson State in 2022. In 2023 he moved to Louisville before transferring to Mississippi State in 2024. He moved again in 2025 to Missouri. He has 166 career receptions for 2,026 yards and nine touchdowns. He averaged 8.1 yards per punt return on 57 attempts in his college career.
The Dolphins are next on the clock with the 180th pick, which will close out their fifth round.
