The Seattle Seahawks handled their business in Week 15 and it opens the door to a huge opportunity this coming Thursday. It wasn’t pretty, but the Seahawks beat the Indianapolis Colts 18-16, winning on
a last second field goal. Regardless of how they performed, Seattle got a much-needed win to set up a massive Thursday Night Football contest in Week 16.
The Seahawks will host the Rams and are 1.5-point underdogs.
NFC West standings
The Seahawks and Rams are tied atop the NFC West and the winner of Thursday’s game will take sole possession of first place. In Week 11, the Rams beat the Seahawks in LA. If Seattle wins, the season series will be split and the teams will be tied in the division record tiebreaker. The Seahawks would also clinch at least a Wild Card berth. If they ended up tied after Week 18, the tiebreaker would move to record in common games. If LA wins, the Rams will have swept the season series and secured the head-to-head tiebreaker.
The 49ers sit a game back of both teams and will host the Seahawks in Week 18. In Week 16, the 49ers travel to face the Colts on Monday Night Football and are 5.5-point road favorites.
- Los Angeles Rams: 11-3 (win over SEA)
- Seattle Seahawks: 11-3 (loss to LAR)
- San Francisco 49ers: 10-4
- Arizona Cardinals: 3-11
