The New York Giants continued what is turning into a busy day of roster shuffling by reportedly signing former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Chandler Martin to a one-year contract, per Adam Schefter.
Martin, 23, played three games for the Baltimore Ravens last season. He is coming off surgery for a torn ACL and is now cleared. Martin played collegiately at East Tennbessee State and Memphis, and went undrafted in 2025.
Martin was released by the Ravens in January, and spent part of the offseason with
the Philadelphia Eagles.
Monday has been a busy one for the Giants. They also signed quarterback Jake Haener and worked out running back Najee Harris.
The Haener signing fills the roster spot vacated by the retirement of Sam Webb.
Stay with Big Blue View for updates when we get the corresponding move for the signing of Martin, and if any further news breaks on the potential signing of Harris. He could replace the injured Dante Miller on the roster.
Martin scouting report
Here is a brief scouting report on Martin from Nikhil Mehta of SB Nation’s Baltimore Beatdown:
“Great on special teams. Had a solid preseason last year on defense.
“Could make the roster on special teams, although I don’t know how the Giants depth looks right now.”
