Nico Schlotterbeck and his camp are open to a move to FC Bayern. The club, however, is currently not making a concrete move for the German international. They’re waiting for Dayot Upamecano and whether he will decide to extend his contract. Should the Frenchman renew, a move for Schlotterbeck would be complicated [@cfbayern, @altobelli13]

Bayern has a lot riding on this Upamecano extension — having alternative options apparently on hold. However, that is the right thing to do: lay contingencies in place should Plan A not work out. And Schlotterbeck is not the only — maybe not even the first — iron in the fire.
Surely though it must be tempting, the thought of uniting the German men’s national team center-backs at club level.
