After a 14-10 July, the Knights held their own in August, breaking even at 13-13 to remain a game better than .500 in the second half and 10 games over on the season.
Infielder Riley Unroe, 31, has made his presence known early in his tenure with the White Sox organization. The South Siders signed Unroe to a minor league contract on July 8, and he has made a lot of sharp contact already. In August, Unroe went 13-for-54 with six homers, 13 walks, and 12 RBIs. Thanks to his power and ability to get on base, Unroe finished the month with a .980 OPS. Overall, in 32 games with the Knights, Unroe is slashing .245/.388/.606 with 10 homers, a triple, two doubles, 19 walks, 20 RBIs, and a .994 OPS. Unroe also plays shortstop, third base, and second base, as he has offered plenty of defensive flexibility.

After a disastrous first half of the season, the Barons have been playing much better recently. Despite still being 16 games worse than .500 overall, the Barons had winning months in July and August. The Barons could still make the playoffs based on their second-half record and how close they are to the division lead (one game behind Rocket City).
Outfielder Samuel Zavala, 22, really turned up the heat this month, as he has been a big part of Birmingham’s turnaround. In August, Zavala went 18-for-55 with two homers, six doubles, and 18 walks. Yes, he really had a .327 batting average and drew just as many walks as he had hits. As a result, the talented outfielder posted a 1.045 OPS to lead the team, driven by an outstanding .500 OBP. Zavala ranks No. 29 on MLB Pipeline’s Top 30 White Sox Prospects. It is worth noting that Zavala, who plays all outfield positions but primarily center, has defensive grades that exceed his offensive grades. As a result, even though Zavala was very impressive at the plate this month, he has as much or more value in the field (60 field, 55 arm).

The Dash built on their strong season with another good month, as they went 14-11 in August. As a result, Winston-Salem is back to better than .500 in the second half and is 13 games better than .500 overall.
Infielder Kyle Lodise, 22, was locked in this month, finishing 29-for-98 with six homers, a triple, six doubles, 21 walks, and 19 RBIs. In addition, Lodise added nine stolen bases and was only caught once. Lodise posted a .982 OPS in August to lead the way among all Dash players with more than 20 at-bats. The South Siders drafted Lodise in the third round in 2025, and so far, he is progressing quite nicely. Lodise is slashing .231/.381/.437 in 106 games this season, all with Winston-Salem. Lodise is primarily a shortstop, but he also plays second base, and he is the No. 13 White Sox prospect according to MLB Pipeline.

The Cannon Ballers kept the good times rolling in August, winning 16 of 26 to climb solidly above .500 in the second half and overall. This is an entirely different team than the one that went 8-16 in April.
Infielder Efren Teran, 19, did not launch any homers, but he was an incredibly reliable batter. Teran went 27-for-63 with five doubles, nine RBIs, and three stolen bases in as many attempts. The young infielder did a complete 180-degree turn from his poor month of July, during which he slashed .161/.268/.161. In August, Teran found a bunch of ways to reach base and make himself valuable, and it is mighty tough to top that .471 OBP. Despite having only 63 at-bats, only the eighth-highest total on the team, Teran led Kannapolis in hits, by a comfortable margin (Teran had 27; Burdette and Fauske were next at 21).

After posting a 10-8 record in July, the DSL White Sox limped to the finish line, dropping 12 of their last 15 to finish 19-36. Among seven teams in their division, the DSL White Sox finished last, one game behind the DSL Blue Jays Blue (20-35).
Catcher and first baseman Ronald Cardozo, 17, remained strong down the stretch, even as the majority of the team struggled in the month of August. Cardozo went 15-for-38 with two homers, a triple, three doubles, and a stolen base in his only attempt. Cardozo saw the ball very well all season, and he finished with a slash line of .342/.433/.581 (135 wRC+).
