At 32, Harry Kane is nowhere near the end of the road. But the Bayern Munich striker is thinking about the kind of legacy he is already well on his way to building.
“I want to be remembered as someone who
gave everything during their career — worked as hard as they could to be the best that they possibly could, the best player, the best team-mate. I think that’s the most important thing,” Kane revealed in comments shared through his Cleats Club app (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “There is always going to be highs and lows throughout a career, for sure. It’s about staying true to yourself, staying humble, stay hard working. That’s where my mindset is.
“I never want to have any regrets when I’m finished that I could have done more. Always pushing myself to see how far I can get.”
At Bayern, Kane has reached career heights and is on his way to surpassing them. Sure, trophies and stats are nice — but several seasons at the best club in the world, pushing as hard as he can for everything? That is a legacy in and of itself. At the very least, it is creating memories for Bayern fans to forever cherish.
With Kane it has never been just about how much he can do — but how the man goes about his business. Thanks for everything, Harry.
